WASHINGTON WIZARDS: Analysis and proposal of nba jersey SPONSORSHIP

In 2017, I was in conversation with MP & Silva, the sports consulting and sponsorship firm in New York and wanted to collaborate with them for some work. At the time, the organization was working with Monumental Sports & Entertainment Group helping them evaluate sponsorship opportunities for their jersey patch deal. I offered to help out and put together an analysis and proposal highlighting key trends in previous NBA jersey patch sponsorship deals and shedding light on potential opportunities with brands which might be a good fit for the Wizards based on factors such as values & culture, relevance to DC area, spending budget, and location of the company.

AS ROMA: INDIAN FOOTBALL LANDSCAPE & OPPORTUNITIES

The best way to grab someone’s attention who you really want to work for is by showing them why you matter and what you can offer them. As it goes, this detailed report/presentation highlights the Indian Football landscape and the opportunity it presents for a ‘foreign’ club to mark its presence in one of the fastest growing football (soccer) markets in the world. Here, I propose strategies on how AS Roma can stamp its authority and build a loyal fan base in India. It’s also a good educational piece on the structure of Indian football. SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL: JET AIRWAYS – THE OFFICIAL TRAVEL PARTNER OF THE GOSPORTS FOUNDATION

Outside of my full-time job, I also part-take in consulting where I help brands with sponsorships, marketing activations and media strategy. I had the unique opportunity to work with GoSports Foundation and draft a partnership proposal (independently) for an Indian airline to become the Official Travel Partner of GoSports Foundation. Below is the presentation deck highlighting the proposal thought process in selecting Jet Airways, how it ties into the CSR mandate issued by the Govt. of India, why there’s a good brand fit between the two organizations and how this partnership could come to life to benefit both parties through marketing activations.

MOTORSPORT TV: BUILDING THE SOCIAL FUNNEL

I recently (September 2018) worked on a project where I was asked to come up with a strategy to build a sales funnel through one of Motorsport TV’s social channels. Upon examining the platforms, I learned that Motorsport TV had pivoted to an OTT model much to the disapproval of their fans and subscribers, not to mention that this wasn’t communicated clearly to the customer base. Sensing an opportunity here, I build a strategy that would help Motorsport TV not only win back fans but also get to pay for the newly launched OTT service.

2018 FIFA WORLD CUP:IMPACT OF JERSEY SPONSORSHIPS

This next presentation was purely an attempt to push my creativity and advance my storytelling ability through graphics, numbers, and images. I’ve sought inspiration from different styles of work that I have come across and added elements of my soul into it. I hope I was able to at least partially translate my work into art.

OATH/YAHOO SPORTS: SOCIAL MEDIA PLAN FOR THE 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP

Staying with football (soccer), in 2017, while I was still at Columbia, I was interviewing with Yahoo Sports (now Oath) for a position of Social Fellow. I really liked the forward-thinking approach at Yahoo at that point, and was thrilled at the prospect of working on the 2018 FIFA World Cup. As part of my interview, I was asked to briefly put together my thoughts on how I would approach the World Cup and run social campaign if I were already a part of the team. What followed was a bold and ambitious social media plan. Here’s a glimpse of it:

WASSERMAN INTERVIEW PROJECT: VR SPONSORSHIP & ACTIVATION

This was one of the earlier presentations I put together outside of grad-school and it was for my internship interview for the position of Marketing Services intern at Wasserman. I was tasked with selecting a Virtual Reality device maker and was asked evaluate three properties (narrowing it down to one) to activate a marketing plan. My selection for the VR device was Oculus, and I decided to activate a VR trailer of a Marvel movie at San Diego Comic Con.

DIGITAL marketing STRATEGY: NATIONAL WOMEN’S SOCCER LEAGUE (NWSL)

In the beginning of 2017, it was announced that A+E Networks had taken an equity stake in the NWSL. The two were set to launch a joint venture, NWSL Media, which would oversee the league’s global broadcast and sponsorship rights, production of league game telecasts, as well as live streaming and digital platforms. Post the announcement, I was brought on as a consultant to help revamp the digital platforms and plan the digital marketing strategy.

ICC World T20 2020 Australia: digital marketing strategy

The ICC T20 Cricket World Cup is less than two years away and Cricket Australia (the organizing committee) has started working towards planing the strategy and hiring new talent to help with the tournament. This presentation here is something I put together myself, as a something that complemented my application for the role of Digital Marketing Manager. It’s not as in-depth as the others, but it certainly highlights the way forward for the organizers on the digital front.
